Narrowboats and widebeams hauled out, blacked, welded, and put right. Professional boatyard on the Grand Union Canal.
Bulls Bridge Docks sits at one of the Grand Union Canal’s most historic junctions — where the Paddington Arm meets the main line at Bulls Bridge. We’ve been hauling boats out and putting them right for owners across the waterways network.
“Matt’s a boat guru — the team here are trusted, helpful and the quality of their work is exceptional.”
We handle both narrowboats and widebeams, with wet and dry dock facilities and the full range of boatyard services — from a quick blacking to a full hull rebuild. If it floats on the cut, we can work on it.
Full lift-out giving complete access to the hull below the waterline. Essential for blacking, plate repairs, stern gear, and anode replacement. We get your boat fully out of the water and supported on props.
Narrowboat · WidebeamIn-water docking for inspections and work that doesn’t require a full haul-out. Access below the waterline from the dock walls, ideal for fitting work, leak investigation, and minor repairs.
In-Water AccessTwo or three-coat bitumen blacking applied to a clean, prepared hull. We inspect for pitting, rust, and plate thinning before we coat — so you know exactly what’s underneath before you go back in.

Full lift-out facility for below-waterline access. Suitable for both narrowboats and widebeams.
In-water dock berths for work that doesn’t require the boat to be out of the water.
The dock and facilities are sized and equipped for standard narrowboat dimensions.
